New students are asked to come in for a French assessment, but entry is only conditional on the successful completion of this assessment from Year 3 onwards. For the lower years, it is only used to determine the level of support that will be required.

There are 23 students per class in PSM and MSM, and 25 students per class in GSM, CP and up to 30 students per class in the other years however 40% of the time, pupils are split into smaller groups.

In primary school, 32% of students are binational (French and another nationality), 58% are French and 7% are British. In secondary school, 27% of students are binational (French and another nationality), 63% are French and 4% are British.
There are no in-house sports facilities; students use nearby facilities such as the Dome for team sports (10-minute walk), West Hampstead park for athletics, races and sports day (15-minute walk), the West Reservoir for kayak and sailing (15-minute coach ride away), and the local swimming pool (5-minute walk).

We have specialised staff to deal with a range of special needs: a SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), speech therapist, psychologist, and school nurse.

E-learning plays a key role in overall teaching strategy thanks to the use of tablets, iPads, Chromebooks and PCs during lesson, but also through dedicated IT and programming classes from primary school onwards.
