Technology is an integral part of teaching and learning at DBIS, and the school is very well resourced with ICT and learning technologies. There is one-to-one Chromebook provision for all Primary students, with class sets of iPads to support student learning. Students in the Secondary School use their own laptops. In addition to specialist Learning Technologies and Computer Science lessons, the school embraces the use of technology to enhance learning in other subject areas and has a strong digital wellbeing programme.

A variety of activities are available at different times of the year. Examples include Art Club, Buzzing for Books, Computing Club, Enrichment Club, Fabric Club, Food Club, Gardening Club, History Club, Homework Club, Geography Club, yoga, netball, running, swimming, football, gymnastics, hockey, dance, badminton, basketball, rugby, rounders, choir, orchestra, School of Rock, Chinese drumming, ukulele, harp, and Drama Club.

DBIS offers a robust online learning programme during periods of enforced school closure. Teaching takes place in real time using Google Classroom and other specialist applications. A dedicated Wellbeing team is also on hand to provide additional pastoral support for students and their families, should it be needed.
Yes, DBIS is a member of the International Schools Sports Federation Hong Kong (ISSFHK), and students take part in international sports events through the school's membership of the Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA).
