Yes. In Early Years, teachers use the “immersion method” of language teaching to provide children with a relaxing, engaging, and fun learning environment; In Primary and Secondary School, students learn ELA (English Language Acquisition) through a systematic learning model using level-based teaching methods with set teaching hours (Primary: ELA have 5 hours lesson time per week; Secondary: ELA have 4 one-hour classes per week).

There are 3 language programmes with 5 learning pathways offered at ISASC: English, Chinese and ‘Mother Tongue’. Mother tongue is for students whose first language is not English or Chinese. These students are, with family support able to continue formally learning this language.

Our school has implemented co-curricular programme, which is built upon four key pillars (Academic Extension, Language and Culture, Arts and STEM) with over 40 kinds of co-curriculum for students to choose.

There are nine time slots for co-curricular activities each week, with the five lunchtimes and four afternoon session options. From Early Years through to Secondary School, all students are required to take at least one co-curricular activity each semester.

Firstly, students can apply for the co-curriculum suitable for their talents, teachers will provide additional professional guidance for them; Secondly, students can use the facilities of the school every day with the allowance; Thirdly, each year (normally in March) our school will offer scholarship programme to all enrolled students and prospective students, qualified students from the below key areas, with demonstrated outstanding ability, are encouraged to apply: Academic Excellence, Arts: Visual, Music and/or Drama, Sports, Community Service and Entrepreneurship.
