Generally students are required to sit an entrance test in English, Maths and the sciences. Students requiring admission to the A level stream do not take an entrance test – instead a decision is made based on their IGCSE scores. Likewise strong SAT Reasoning Test scores can assist in admission to grades 11 and 12, American stream. In addition to an aptitude test, an interview is conducted by the Principal and/or Vice-Principal with the applicant and his/her parents to establish the goals that are set for the school-parent partnership.

All classrooms are equipped with projectors and smart boards that enable students to learn in an environment that is technologically appropriate to the age. The latest technology is available in the computer laboratories, which have an excellent student- work station ratio.

A wide range of extracurricular sporting, leisure and hobby activities are available to students both during and after the school day.

Gymnasium, 2 squash courts, swimming pool, outdoor basketball courts, football pitches, grass and artificial surfaces areas for cricket.

The teaching staff at Manarat Al Riyadh is highly qualified and international. Mostly, MAR employs western- American qualified and experienced teachers, particularly at IGCSE, A Level and SAT.
