Recoleta is Buenos Aires most prestigious neighborhood, characterized by grand European-style architecture, upscale boutiques, and a refined cultural scene. Home to the famous Recoleta Cemetery where Eva Peron is buried, the area draws both tourists and an affluent local community. Expats here tend to be diplomats, executives, and long-established immigrant families.

Recoleta has several well-maintained plazas and small parks, including Plaza Francia and Plaza Intendente Alvear. The sculpture garden and rose garden near the cemetery are popular with residents for evening strolls.

Recoleta experiences Buenos Aires humid subtropical climate. Summers (Dec-Feb) bring intense heat and humidity with temperatures around 32-36 degrees C and frequent thunderstorms. Winters are mild at 8-15 degrees C with occasional cold spells from Patagonian winds.
