Didi Dighomi is a large residential district in western Tbilisi, primarily housing Georgian families in Soviet-era apartment blocks alongside newer developments. The neighborhood has a working-class and middle-class character, with a strong Georgian Orthodox cultural identity and a genuine local community feel.
Didi Dighomi has a large number of green spaces relative to its size, including the popular Dighomi pine grove park -- a favorite for local joggers and families on weekends. The Mtkvari River runs along the district edge and offers riverside walking.
Didi Dighomi is connected to central Tbilisi by metro (Didi Dighomi station on Line 2) and multiple bus and minibus routes. The metro journey to the city center takes around 20-25 minutes. Traffic congestion is less severe here than in inner Tbilisi.
