Die American International School Kuwait ist eine private, unabhängige, koedukative Tagesschule für Schüler von der Vorschule bis Klasse 12. Englisch ist die Hauptunterrichtssprache, obwohl alle Schüler Arabisch oder Arabisch als Fremdsprache lernen. Sie ist eine International Baccalaureate Organization (IB) Continuum School, vollständig autorisiert für das IB Diploma (IBD), das Middle Years Programme (MYP) und das Primary Years Programme (PYP). Die Schule ist nach dem Modell der drei typischen amerikanischen Schulstufen aufgebaut: Elementary, Middle und High School. AIS ist von der Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA) akkreditiert.
