The campus building opens at 08:00 am and school starts at 08:30 am.

For Early Childhood and Primary School, there are 18 students or fewer in each classroom. In Junior Secondary & Senior Secondary School, there are up to 25 students per class.

Yes, and as part of our global network students and teachers use virtual classrooms to communicate with other OWIS students worldwide and collaborate on interschool class projects.

We respect all religious backgrounds, however, religion is not regularly practised in school.

Yes, we offer multiple industry-leading English language support programmes, including Academic English Preparation (AEP) classes, a four-month transition programme, and Intensive English after-school club. Our international faculty and student body also create an all-round immersive English environment for holistic language aqusition.

English is our language of operation and instruction. We offer Kokugo classes for native Japanese speakers and Japanese as a Second Language (JSL) classes for non-natives. We also have french as an elective secondary school class.

OWIS has personalized learning baked into the curriculum, and remains as one of our primary offerings to parents and gifted students. Our teachers are trained to manage students who excel beyond the norm.

The school may make introductions to a psychologist where necessary. However, formally we do not provide this service on site.
