New students are asked to come in for a French assessment, but entry is only conditional on the successful completion of this assessment from Year 3 onwards. For the lower years, it is only used to determine the level of support that will be required.

There are 23 students per class in PSM and MSM, and 25 students per class in GSM, CP and up to 30 students per class in the other years however 40% of the time, pupils are split into smaller groups.
