Lighthouse es una propiedad de 4.250 m² en Valdemarcín, rodeada de 2 de los principales pulmones verdes de Madrid: El Pardo y Puerta de Hierro. Programa PYP, acreditada por IB y NEASC. La vida cotidiana en Lighthouse se desarrolla en inglés. Todos los profesores son nativos, acreditados por universidades estadounidenses y reciben formación continua. Consideramos el español más que una segunda lengua, por eso le prestamos especial atención. A partir de 3er año de primaria, los alumnos aprenden chino como tercera lengua. Nuestros estudiantes tienen la suerte de compartir clase con personas de otros países y culturas.

We do have an application procedure. We want to get to know our students, how they learn best and also their families. We assess English level, as well as reading, writing and math skills.

The assessments only take about 1.5 hours. We use that time to interview the parents as well.
The normal timing in Spain to accept students is during spring and until June. Since we are an international school, we accept students all year around, until classrooms are full.

No more than 18 students per class. There is only one class in each grade. We want the school to be small and family like, since we believe it is the only way to get to know each and every one of our students and their needs.

Technology is present in our school, but it is not our main vehicle of instruction. Each classroom has a digital board and students have access to chromebooks, depending on the activities they are doing. In 4th grade, each student has a Chromebook and so our instruction is hybrid, combining both digital and analogical materials.
