IC2 AND HIGHER ONLINE CHAT AND TRIAL DAYS Upon an available space, you might be invited to an enrollment phone interview or video call. We would like to find out more about your child and your needs as a family. If you are in Denmark, we will invite your child to three trial days. During these trial days, your child will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in our learning community, engage with our faculty, and participate in various activities tailored to their interests and academic needs. They will also have the chance to meet fellow students and experience the unique culture that defines VIS. Our faculty will engage with your child, providing a glimpse into what school life is like here. Additionally, we will conduct assessments to better understand your child's academic strengths and areas for growth. IC 1 ASSESSMENT MORNINGS For children that will be entering IC 1, we instead offer Parent Information Sessions and Assessment Mornings. This parent Meeting provides an overview of our school’s structure, curriculum, and future plans. It is a great opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of our educational philosophy and the foundational principles that guide our program. Asessment Mornings are when we invite small groups of prospective students from the upcoming school year's IC 1 waiting pool. Children will spend time in the current IC 1 classroom. This will be a wonderful opportunity for your child to meet our teachers, engage with the school environment, and participate in activities designed to assess academic readiness, school preparedness, and social skills—all in a child-friendly format.

Yes, we have a full care program called SFO available from 7:30 am - 5:00 pm and a smaller program called SFO Light available from 7:30 am - 45 min after the year group's dismissal time.

SFO Program - robust program with student choice and Danish/English immersion includes STEM Space Club, Playing with STEM Club, Kindness Council Care for Earth events, monthly WOW event, eco gardening, cooking, healthy snack buffet, jewlery making, sports, and more. Extracurricular clubs (vary by semester see current brochure) typical offers include: painting, Scratch Club, STEM Mad Scientists, Rollerblading, Dance, Piano, Spanish, Korean

PE curriculum encompasses ball sports (basketball, football, field hockey, rugby, rundball), dance, orienteering, yoga, cycling, gymnastics

Library, Science lab (May 2025), Cooking science, In August 2026 we are moving the school to Kildedal By (part of Ballerup and next to the Kildedal train stop). There we will have full Cooking class facilities, Woodworking and Design Lab, Science Lab, Library, Art Rooms, Music Room, Drama Room

Basketball court/football pitch, dedicated secondary football pitch and track 5 min walk away

Danish, French In extra-curricular clubs there are other additional languages offered

SEN team that support in creating modifications to the curriculum and learning environment, differentiated instruction to meet all students needs, Action Plans and IEPs for students needing more intensive support, social groups, handwriting support and small group instruction as needed
