MEF International School Istanbul

A maximum of 16 / 18 / 18 students into the ECC (Preschool / Pre-Kindergarten / Kindergarten classes respectively). A maximum of 22 students into Grades 1-5 classes. A maximum of 24 students into Grades 6-12 classes.

There is wireless internet access throughout the school and classrooms come equipped with a smartboard, as well as some Apple TV’s and LCD projectors. Teachers and students also have access to a range of microsoft, google and apple applications and programs for interactive learning opportunities. MEFIS has an additional shared space called MEF Tech made up of a makerspace, iMac Lab, PC Lab, Lego Robotics Station, Greenbox Studio, Library and Robotics station.

Clubs are offered at MEFIS across all grade levels. These activities enable students to explore and develop their interests, socialize with peers, pursue athletic potential or acquire new skills. Students in Primary School have one club period each week. In the Secondary School students in Grades 6 to 12 have 2 hours of clubs each week. After school activities for the Primary and Secondary, Sports Coaching, Academic Support in the Secondary are also offered after school hours.

MEF Tech (a state of the art suite including MAC Lab, Makers Space / Robotics-Lego Robotic Lab and Green Screen) Library, Concert Auditorium, Small size Amphitheatre, Science Labs, Dance Studio, Art Studio, Cafeteria, Outdoor Playgrounds.

MEFIS has two outdoor soccer pitches, basketball court, a tennis court, an indoor gymnasium and a fully heated 25m swimming pool with stadium seating.

The Student Support Department consists of five support teachers; a reading specialist (Primary only), a counselor, learning support specialist and two ELL (English Language Learning) teachers. These support teachers work with teachers and students to provide the most effective learning environment for all students.
