入学時の選抜評価
Assessment in secondary is compulsory.
入学評価の簡単な説明
There is no entrance exam for students with grades EY3-Grade 6. If the student is applying for grade 7 and above the student may be invited to the school for testing for English, Math, or foreign language to make sure of the right placement.
ENGLISH
We ask them to do an age-appropriate piece of academic writing. They have a choice of two titles and must write a properly structured formal essay on the topic of their choice for 60 min
If they are already identified as EAL they will also have a speaking and listening assessment with our EAL teacher.
MATHS
The students are given a maths test covering the topics that have been studied in previous years. This is to understand if there are any gaps in their content or skills that we may have to account for when assigning them a maths class.
Both tests are handwritten to give us an understanding of their thought process and their handwriting.
If classes are already full then all applying students will be put on a waiting list.

授業でのICT活用
In the Early Years and in Grade 1, shared iPads are provided for student use under the guidance of teachers, building a foundation in collaboration and sharing. Students in Grade 2 to Grade 5 use shared MacBooks and iPads provided by IICS. This extends into a 1-to-1 MacBook Program in Grade 6-12, and students use these devices throughout the day to complement teacher instruction. A typical classroom consists of an interactive whiteboard, wireless projector and 3.1 stereo system.

IICS does not provide religious classes in its curriculum. However, all students are allowed to practice their own beliefs and religions.

IICS offers French (Grades 2-5) and Turkish Culture & Language (EY5 – Grade 5) at the Primary Level.
In Secondary School, French, Spanish and Korean are offered as in person options for second language. A catalog of online and hybrid courses are available for all other international languages such as German, Turkish, Japanese, Italian, Chinese, Arabic, & Portuguese.

1) IICS has dedicated student support staff at both campuses and all grade levels in all three areas: EAL, Counseling, and Student Support.
2) Learning support is offered through push in and pull out models using tier intervention with internal and external support as needed.

There are two educational psychologists on campus, one for primary and one for secondary. Additionally IICS works with external providers who visit the campus to provide external support.
