Beacon Academy

The Academy is a true 21st century school and recognises that in highly effective classrooms, learners are encouraged to be creative, think critically, collaborate and communicate. This is addressed powerfully by supporting the acquisition of content and skills in the classroom through the access of technology in every part of the school. The Academy believes that the Apple iPad represents the best design to accommodate the kinds of learning the school sees as necessary to prepare students for the future. The iPad provides Junior and Middle School teachers with thousands of applications, simulations and games that support and engage learners. The Academy will also integrate interactive content to replace textbooks over the next few years.

As a school that celebrates diversity, students come from Indonesia and other parts of the world, including USA, UK, Australia, Germany, South Korea, Japan, Singapore and India.

The Academy hosts world-class sports facilities including tennis court, golf putting range, a semi-indoor competition swimming pool complex and indoor gymnasium (basketball, badminton, volleyball and futsal). Both facilities are equipped with toilets and showers for male and female athletes, and are equipped with tribune seating for spectators. The Academy also boasts a football pitch with competition-style tribune seating for spectators.

Beacon Academy believes in Inclusive Education to create a community of motivated students and staff engaged in learning. - Special educational needs addresses the individual differences and needs of a child who has difficulty in learning. - Early intervention improves and enhance the development of a child with developmental delays, special needs, or other concerns. - Early intervention helps build a nurturing and supportive environment for the student to focus on his/her strengths for the child’s well being.
