All applicants seeking entry into Grade 1 and above may be tested, unless they have a recent standardized test recognized by ISM.

The testing has several components including English language skills and Mathematics. For older candidates, if they have studied a foreign or modern language, they may also be tested for French, Japanese, Spanish, Mandarin and/or Filipino for placement purposes.

Entire campus has cable and WiFi access to the internet, and there is ample hardware in the form of desktops, laptops, projectors, interactive whiteboards, digital cameras and other hi-tech devices. Information technology has a key role in learning at ISM, and an entire new floor was recently built to enhance opportunities for students in design technology and robotics.

Performing Arts such as Ballet, Tap Dance, Jazz, Strings classes, Beginning Band and Choir. Sports and Martial Arts including Swimming, Basketball, Chess, Gymnastics, Soccer, Table Tennis, Wall Climbing, Aikido, Judo and Tae Kwon Do. Arts and Crafts such as Cartooning, Sculpting, Painting and Drawing. Languages including Chinese, Spanish, German, French, Dutch and Hindi.

- 400m all-weather track and 3 playing fields - Sports hall, 8 tennis courts and 3 fully air-conditioned gymnasiums The aquatics area is composed of an 8-lane competition swimming pool, a shallow teaching pool and a deep-water pool for scuba and diving activities. There is a fully equipped fitness gym and dance studio.

The International School Manila provides an ESL program for students whose first language is not English and whose English language skills limit full access to the regular grade level curriculum.

The school has Learning Support Program. Each applicant is considered on an individual basis. The decision to admit an applicant with special educational needs is made by the Learning Support Resource Team (LSRT). Any student who is applying for admission and has documented learning needs will receive special consideration by the LSRT. The School reserves the right to refuse applications where the student appears to have needs that cannot be met by our current program.

The school's classroom teachers work alongside the learning support teachers, educational and teaching assistants, specialist teachers, speech and language pathologists and occupational therapists. These professionals, together with parents, ensure that the school is providing a high quality education and the students have the support they need.
