Brussels American School

Brussels American School (BAS) was constructed in Brussels to support the American military and NATO Headquarters when they moved from France at the end of 1966. BAS belongs to a federal organization known as the Department of Defense Dependents Schools (DoDDS), a school system consisting of approximately 150 schools worldwide. DoDDS is a subordinateunit of the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA), which is based in Arlington, Virginia. DoDEA falls under the authority of the Secretary of Defense.The school is a US Department of Defense Education school, and certain requisites for enrollment may apply. The availability of spaces for non-US Department of Defense dependents may be limited.
