Rahn Schulen Kairo

When a new student is applying at the Rahn Schulen Kairo, they will be invited for an assessment test. After they passed the assessment test successfully, the parents will be invited for an interview with the school principal.

Kindergarten: Testing of the German language skills is taking place only in Vorschule (preschool). In all other years the language capability is made systematically by everyday use of the German language. During the trial day, the teachers are observing the motoric abilities, the social skills and behavior in general. Primary/ Secondary school: Language ability as well the social skills are taken into account. The students are writing an assessment test in subjects as German and Mathematics.

There is no specific deadline, but no more students can be admitted once the class capacity has been reached.

Smart boards and projectors are used in some classrooms.

Approximate 4-5% of the students are international.

Our school reinforces the acquisition of the German language through other subjects in addition to German lessons. DaF, i.e. German as a foreign language, plays a major role in this in order to promote language development. In addition, Rahn Schulen Kairo focuses on more intensive language acquisition by offering library and remedial classes in elementary school. Due to the school's focus on the arts, the subjects of music, choir, sports, and arts are also taught in German . The creative method of the subjects supports the language development.
