At UIS, we offer many different clubs. These include: science club, book club, yoga club, media club, board game club, and a sports club.

This course equips students with the knowledge and skills they need to make healthy choices now and lead healthy, active lives in the future. Through participation in a wide range of physical activities, students develop knowledge and skills related to movement competence and personal fitness that provide a foundation for active living. Students also acquire an understanding of the factors and skills that contribute to healthy development and learn how their own well-being is affected by, and affects, the world around them. Students build their sense of self, learn to interact positively with others, and develop their ability to think critically and creatively

Here at UIS, we offer a student lounge, library, music/arts room, cafeteria, and a computer lab.

UIS has onsite indoor sports facilities. These include: a competition sized swimming pool, basketball court, soccer field, one regular size hockey rink, and one Olympic game sized hockey rink.

UIS has Intensive Support Programs (ISPs) at all grade levels are designed to support communities of exceptional (special needs) students who have similar behavioural, communication, intellectual needs.

We offers Advanced Placement® (AP®) programs to high school students. The goal is to connect students to college success through allowing them to take college classes while still in high school.
