Our gates open at 8:15am, and Primary School starts at 8:45am. Kindergarten starts at 9am.

Our day ends at 3:30pm, but our school stays open until 4:30pm so that children and parents can socialize and have unscheduled community time.

At Halio, technology is used thoughtfully and intentionally rather than as a primary teaching tool. In the Lower Primary years especially, we prioritise hands-on learning, outdoor experiences, collaboration, and real-world exploration. Students are not given individual screens for daily learning. Instead, they develop foundational skills through discussion, reading, building, experimenting, creating, and problem-solving together. In Upper Primary, technology is introduced more purposefully — for research, writing, presentation, communication, and specific projects. We focus on helping students use digital tools responsibly and effectively, rather than passively consuming content. We see technology as a tool — not a replacement for teachers, relationships, or real experience.

After-school football is regulary, and pop-up classes in dance, rugby, art, band happen when there is student interest.

All students do Physical Education twice per week.

We create individual learning plans for qualified students and work together with parents and teachers to make sure the child get the support s/he needs, in cases where we can provide it.

Able and talented students are challenged through extension tasks, open-ended projects, and opportunities for leadership and independent study. Our flexible structure allows teachers to move students forward when they are ready, rather than strictly following a one-size-fits-all pace.
