All local students are required to do admissions testing at the Upper School and a screening at the Junior School.
All International applicants will be evaluated by the admissions committee, and if necessary students will be required to do admissions testing or placement testing.

Both campuses offer a wide variety of activities on campus. The activities follow a semester schedule and are offered to all students from Foundation up to grade 12 and begin after school dismissal and run approximately for one hour.

During each Academic Year, ISF High School students can participate in the ASIL (American Schools Italian League) Athletic Program, a varsity sports program designed for students in grades 9-12. ISF offers both girls and boys Varsity Soccer, Tennis, Volleyball and Basketball. The league is organized by the Department of Defense of The United States. All of the schools from the American military bases in Europe, in addition to several International Schools, participate in this Varsity League. At the end of the season, there is the possibility to participate in the European championship which is held annually in Germany.

Junior School: all weather sports field, two playgrounds and a specially equipped and surfaced play area for the Preschool and Kindergarten classes.
Upper School: a large sports complex, within easy walking distance from the school, hosts the ISF Physical Education program.
