Dalat International School

Dalat campus is well equipped to meet the technological demands of today’s students. All classrooms have computers connected to the school’s network, which provides file storage and high speed Internet access on campus. As well, the school has four up-to-date computer labs, complete with data projectors and laser printers. All teachers from Grade 5 to 12 use PowerSchool to record student grades and take daily attendance. Students have access to eLearning technologies and other online courses. Dalat also uses an online course management system in many of its courses. This is available through DISCourse. Elementary and Middle School students use tablets regularly for class work and research. High School students have a 1 to 1, Bring-Your-Own-Device program that is well integrated into the curriculum. Instruction highlights to students the benefits and challenges of the current digital age.

Yes, Dalat utilizes a variety of online platforms to make learning possible for students of all ages.

Concert bands, jazz ensembles, choirs, sports, forensics, theatre arts, scouting, chess, worship teams, student government, crafts, sewing, and more.

Both competitive and recreational sports are available, including volleyball, soccer, basketball, softball, track and field, tennis, rock climbing, rugby, gardening, badminton, weight lifting, and more.

Athletic facilities include an indoor gym, outdoor basketball court, exercise room, tennis court, and locker rooms.

The Special Services program provides educational assistance to students with mild to moderate learning needs. The goal of the program is to provide supports and consultative services in grades K-12 to help students develop independence in their classrooms and achieve success in their learning.

A range of services, icluding educational and behavioral assessments, classroom observations, individual education plans, individual or small group instruction, class-based support, and homework assistance. Consultative advice and support to classroom teachers and parents is also available.

Teachers may provide learning enhancements for students with different gifting.
