Children from Year 1 upwards are required to spend a morning in the school prior to confirming the offer of a place. Evaluations are carried out during this visit.

In the primary school a brief evaluation of their language and number skills. In the secondary school, an online aptitude test (language, mathematics and reasoning skills). Students applying for 'A ' level courses who have not taken GCSE qualifications will be tested at GCSE level in their chosen subjects.

In some year groups there is a waiting list.
