Middle and high school students may be required to take one or more placement tests in various subjects as part of the admissions process. These assessments are designed to assist TIS in making an accurate placement of each child into its curriculum.

The school practices a policy of rolling admissions from April 1 until the grade level is full. Once a grade is full, a waiting list is started.

The school offers support in the area of English for Speakers of Other Languages for grades 1 through 8. Fluent English is required in high school.

TIS recognizes that students in every classroom have a variety of abilities and some students may need extra support and attention in order to be successful. The Learning Support coordinator works collaboratively with teachers to identify students with extra learning needs and to plan appropriate programmes for them. Parents are closely involved in the process, and students themselves are included when appropriate.
