At IAA, our After-School Enrichment program offers a diverse range of clubs designed to spark students' interests and foster their development beyond the classroom; there is a club for every passion and curiosity. Participating in after-school activities provides numerous benefits for our students. These programmes promote intellectual growth and creativity, as students engage in hands-on learning and problem-solving. Clubs like Robotics and Coding, and Minecraft enhance technical skills and encourage innovative thinking, while story craft nurtures imagination and expressive abilities. Physical activities such as ultimate frisbee contribute to overall health and wellness, fostering teamwork, strategic thinking, and sportsmanship. Culture and heritage is enriched through clubs such as Arabic Handwriting and Reading, Quran Competition, and Bible Quiz Competition.

Students have the chance to engage in various sports, including football, basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, track and field, swimming, badminton, and our latest addition - padel.

Yes. IAA HAWKS Team The IAA Hawk is the symbol of school pride and unity, bringing the entire community together under one banner “We are all Hawks - we are all IAA”.

School facilities are nothing short of state of the art: All classrooms are equipped with the latest interactive smartboards, online software and programmes as well as wireless internet access. The school boasts a 450-seat theatre fitted for grand theatrical productions and is also accompanied by a massive multi-purpose hall. The Sports Complex includes a semi-Olympic indoor swimming pool, a children’s swimming pool, strength and cardio training equipment, an indoor gym, and a 400 m running track and an 850-seat multipurpose outdoor football stadium. Additionally, a padel court is available as part of our extended sports facilities. IAA is also home to one of the largest resource centres in Jordan and perhaps the Middle East. These innovative centres of digital design, and creativity & research, consist of three fully staffed libraries, an innovation hub, and an immersive room.

The IAA Sports' Complex is a (3800 sqm) dedicated indoor and outdoor sports area designed to be used for a wide variety of sports. The Gymnasium is equipped to cater to a wide range of sports, both traditional (Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton and Indoor tennis) and contemporary (Jiu Jitsu, Taekwondo and fencing). The Swimming Facilities include a semi-Olympic-sized main pool, a children's pool, and fully equipped changing rooms featuring showers, toilets, and lockers. The Football Field includes a sports playing field suitable for a variety of team sports; a 400-metre running track, athletics areas, as well as a stadium seating 850 spectators. This dynamic space serves as the venue for physical education classes, team practices, large tournaments and competitions, Sports Days, the IAA Hawks Football Academy, and more. Language Support at IAA is offered to students who need to accelerate their English or Arabic language proficiency in order to have equal access to the curriculum. Students in need of this service are usually referred to the Language Support Team by their class teacher or they are flagged through standardized reading and writing tests administered by the school.

The Learning Support program at IAA offers a robust framework designed to assist students facing academic difficulties due to learning barriers. It ensures that students receive tailored support both inside and outside the classroom, fostering their development into self-aware and independent learners. This comprehensive service is an integral part of the school’s inclusive approach to education. The Learning Support program at IAA exemplifies the school’s commitment to ensuring every student can thrive academically. By integrating classroom support, specialized interventions, and collaboration with families, the program creates a pathway for students to overcome challenges and reach their full potential. Support starts within the classroom where teachers and Learning Specialists collaborate to provide students with the best possible differentiated instruction in order to ensure that students’ learning variabilities are catered for. If a student is in need of further assistance, they are then referred to Learning Support for an assessment of his/her academic strengths and weaknesses. Results from the testing process are communicated to parents and teachers, with strategies for support in class and at home, along with any suggested interventions.
