Yoyogi International School

YIS offers After School Activities program from 4-5 pm.

IT is integrated across the curriculum. Students have access to Mac Book Airs, iPads and a variety of digital resources, which are used to publish work, create presentations, and also as a tool to research social studies, science and art topics. A new 3D Printing Lab is being installed.

The school has provisions for virtual learning for any unforeseen circumstances.

Yoyogi International School offers EAL (English as an Additional Language) support to non-native speakers to further enhance their language skills.

Japanese Language and Culture are featured highly in the curriculum. The Japanese language program is offered as the Japanese Foreign Language (JFL) class or the Kokugo class. Students in the Kokugo class will have native level spoken Japanese. The Japanese class (KOKUGO) is taught under Japanese national curriculum and textbook, exactly the same program as Japanese elementary schools.

We have staff to support mild learning differences, and all teachers receive training.

If required, students are supported with individual programming, additional support, and connections to outside agencies.
