Koliba hill on the northeastern edge offers hiking trails through forest with panoramic views of Bratislava and the Danube plain. Medická zahrada (Medical Garden) is a historic park near the center with mature trees and walking paths. Several smaller green spaces are scattered between residential blocks.
Nove Mesto is exceptionally well-connected. Tram lines run through the district, and the Trnavske Myto transport hub is a major junction for trams and buses. The tram to Stare Mesto takes about 10 minutes. The main bus station is in the district.
Polus City Center is a full-service shopping mall with a large Tesco supermarket, fashion brands, electronics, and a food court. Lidl and Billa branches are within the neighborhood. A fresh market operates near the main bus station. The diversity of retail means most needs are met without leaving the district.
