Scholae ("the App") is an international school finder developed by Kevin Major. This privacy policy explains how the App handles your information.

Scholae does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The App is read-only and does not require an account or login.

Location Data

The App may request access to your device's location to centre the map on nearby schools. This location data is:

Used only on your device to position the map
Never sent to our servers
Never stored or logged
Entirely optional — the App works without location access

Local Preferences

The App stores your preferences (theme, language, currency, and favourited schools) locally on your device using standard platform storage. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.

School Data

The App retrieves school information from our database to display on the map and in school profiles. These requests do not include any personal or identifying information about you.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

Google Maps — to display the interactive map. Google may collect usage data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
Supabase — to host the school database. No user data is sent to Supabase; only read-only queries for school information are made.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The App is an informational tool for parents and guardians researching schools.

Data Retention

Since we do not collect any personal data, there is nothing to retain or delete. Local preferences can be cleared by uninstalling the App or clearing its data through your device settings.
