Yes, we use the NGRT (New Group Reading Test) and NGR (New Group Reading) tests from GL Assessment to evaluate students' reading abilities and ensure accurate tracking of their progress. 入学评估要求简介
The NGRT (New Group Reading Test) and NGR (New Group Reading) tests from GL Assessment evaluate students' reading skills by assessing their comprehension, vocabulary, and decoding abilities. These tests provide insights into a student’s reading age, as well as their strengths and weaknesses in reading, allowing teachers to personalise instruction and provide targeted support. They are particularly useful for identifying students who may need additional help or challenge in their reading development. Our high school students are given locally made tests.

课堂中技术应用情况
We are a data-driven school that heavily invests in technology. Upon joining our school, each teacher is provided with a laptop, which is returned upon leaving. All classrooms are equipped with projectors, some featuring interactive boards, and we are working towards installing interactive boards in every classroom. Additionally, each room has a telephone, a smartboard, and state-of-the-art projectors.
We utilise ManageBac as our Learning Management System, alongside Google Classroom and Seesaw. Our approach includes flipped classrooms, where students complete work online. As a data-driven institution, Southbridge conducts MAP and GL testing to accurately diagnose student challenges. We also offer Reading A-Z, enabling primary school students to develop their reading skills at home, with access to a vast library of reading materials. To further support literacy, we have dedicated phonics time for K3 to Year 2 students, supplementing Reading A-Z.
In addition to these resources, the school subscribes to platforms such as Twinkl and Save My Exams to provide further support. We employ a dedicated Technology Integration Manager whose role is to ensure the seamless implementation of technology in the classroom. Students from Years 6 to 12 bring their laptops to school, with Wi-Fi readily available for their use.
Our teachers receive continuous training on how to effectively integrate technology into the classroom and are members of various tech groups to stay updated with the latest educational tools and trends. Beyond the classroom, we use Google applications across both academic and administrative functions, further enhancing our technological infrastructure.
We also offer robotics and coding, making full use of technology. The school has two state-of-the-art computer labs, and our library is equipped with iPads for students. Primary teachers use these resources to teach in line with 21st-century educational standards.
